Nicki Friedlein is a textile and thread artist who has worked with fabric and thread for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a family of makers, she was surrounded by sewing, lace-making, knitting, and crocheting—skills passed down from her mother and grandmothers.

Embroidery became her own creative expression, and she inherited a deep appreciation for the meditative process of making and the versatility of woven and spun materials.
